Dave Aftandilian Vladimir Neronov’s hypnotic and addictive percussive compositions on homemade instruments blew me away. While listening I kept getting this image of a junkyard at night, with bits and pieces of this and that rising up under the full moon, dancing and knocking together, making a music that enters the dreams of those sleeping nearby and takes them on a fantastic, trippy journey beyond the ivory gates.

The environment during the recording of this album was peculiar. A lot played against me. But I didn't want to indulge in reflections, feel sorry for myself, drown in an ocean of depression. I wanted to prove to myself that I didn’t compromise with my life and didn’t give up trying to do something cool.

At that time, I didn't have access to the equipment I was used to. Therefore, I made tools from scrap materials. In a few months I learned to play them and composed a lot of music that wouldn't have been born under other circumstances. No samples, no synthesizers. Only a pure desire to make music in my own way.
